Eva Mendes Launched Fashion Design Career, Kate Upton Scores Another New Job

Eva Mendes’s Design Job: Eva Mendes is entering the world of fashion design. The actress has created a line for mass-retailer New York & Co. The label, called Eva by Eva Mendes, will issue four collections a year. “When we asked our customers to name the celebrity they aspired to be [Eva’s] name came up again and again Based on that we went out and per sued her,” the brand’s CEO told WWD. Mendes has reportedly sat in on multiple creative meetings and signs off on every design before they’re produced. [WWD
Minnie Mouse Teams with Lanvin: Minnie Mouse has landed a new fashion gig. After starring in Barneys New York’s holiday campaign, the Disney mouse has scored a collaboration with Lanvin (who dressed her for the Barneys animation). Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz called Minnie “a real fashionista.” Minnie will wear his design to Disneyland Paris’s 20th anniversary next month, partaking in festivities that will even include a fashion parade. Kate Upton’s New Campaign: Fresh off of her Sports Illustrated cover score, Kate Upton has landed another gig. The 20-year-old model has signed on as the face of Accessorize, a jewelry and accessory chain. Past Accessorize models include Bar Rafaeli and Claudia Schiffer. [HuffPo]
